About Us
On September 7, 2024, Open Arms celebrated its 25th year legacy of nurturing children in a safe, loving, and faith-filled environment.
Open Arms Christian Academy was founded on September 7, 1999 and has been serving the Ashburn, VA, community by providing Christ-centered education and care for children. Affiliated with Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church, the center is nationally accredited through the National Lutheran School Accreditation and Virginia Council For Private Education. Open Arms offers a wide range of programs, from infant care to pre-kindergarten, after-school programs, and summer camps.
The Open Arms Staff
At the core foundation of our school is a commitment to providing our students with a Lutheran based education through the instrumental instruction of excellent educators, administrators and support staff. We hire experienced, trustworthy, devoted, and highly qualified individuals who value providing our students with exceptional education and care.
Parents can have peace of mind knowing that their child is always being taken care of with complete attention and dedication to their emotional, spiritual and educational journeys.
We integrate faith-based teachings with play and exploration, allowing children to learn and grow at their own pace. The curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate, fostering creativity and critical thinking while rooted in Christian values. The focus is on nurturing the whole child—spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.

Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church holds services every Sunday at the following times:
- 8:00 am – Traditional Worship Service
- 9:30 am – Alternating Traditional and Modern Worship Service
- 11:00 am – Modern Worship Service
Professional Nursery Care (Infants-3 years) is available every Sunday during each service.

Sunday School and Bible Studies
Sundays at 9:30 am during the 9:30 am service
Age appropriate Sunday school classes are held for all children from 4 years old-high school. Adult Bible Study groups also meet at 9:30 am.
